Akaushi is another word for Red Wagyu, this beef is well known for it's high marbling , tenderness and mono-unsaturated fat content. According to the American Heart Association, mono-unsaturated fats can lead to lower cholesterol, prevent coronary heart disease and help with weight loss. The higher concentration of the mono-unsaturated fats in the Akaushi beef also leads to a rich, buttery flavor and tenderness in the meat.
EZ Ranch started the journey into Akaushi beef in 2021, in 2024 we will be offering our customers Akaushi beef for grain finishing only. We are starting to take names for our Akaushi beef so send us an email if you would like to be put on the waitlist.
